2014 AEP Ohio Sustained Excellence Award

AEP Award"Energy Management Solutions, Inc. provides energy conservation and management services for businesses to help strengthen their bottom line.  EMS's passion is to help organizations make real and lasting conservation improvements that optimize energy usage and reduce power consumption.  It is committed to educating and assisting decision makers in their efforts to implement proven energy-saving strategies in their facilities and operations.  Its promise to customers is to work tirelessly and diligently to help companies transform themselves into sustainable, socially-responsible organizations, while strengthening their bottom lines.

EMS has been participating in the program since 2010.  In 2014 alone, it completed 46 projects for a total savings of over 70 GWh.  The president and vice president of the company, both located outside of Ohio, have made a substantial investment of time and energy in Ohio.  They have established an office here and have met with many of AEP Ohio's largest industrial customers.  Through their efforts to find and submit potential energy efficiency measures, they have educated those customers to be more energy-aware.  They have customized unique approaches that enable customers to implement energy efficiency projects in situations they feel they could not have done otherwise.

The organization has worked very closely with AEP Ohio by having weekly conference calls with AEP Ohio to resolve questions from our engineers who review submitted applications.  EMS has made suggestions, which were implemented, to improve our Solution Provider Performance Reward program.  In addition, the company has suggested additional EE programs for us to consider, which are currently being reviewed."
